- I completed a combined internal medicine/pediatrics residency at USC and was peer-elected to serve as med/peds chief resident during my final year. I was then faculty-appointed as a fifth-year pediatrics chief resident and subsequently worked as a med/peds hospitalist for three years prior to completing additional training in hospice and palliative medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
