Summary
- Justin Kunes, M.D., earned his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Medical University. He then attended the University of Kentucky where he completed his orthopedic residency and trained at the Shriners Hospital for Children. To further define his career, Dr. Kunes completed two accredited fellowships, one in pediatric orthopedics at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, and the other in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Florida Orthopedics Institute, in Tampa, Florida. He is a board certified orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Kunes enjoys treating all aspects of upper extremity surgery in adults and children. While much of his focus is on hand surgery and treating conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome and cubital tunnel syndrome, his career passion is on complex upper and lower extremity deformity correction in children. He especially enjoys treating congenital hand differences, brachial plexus palsies, clubfoot, congenital vertical talus, angular deformities about the knees and ankles, and limb-length differences. For fun, Dr. Kunes enjoys spending time with his wife Ileana and their two children. They love cooking, traveling, running, biking, hiking, yoga and Tai Chi. He is an amateur radio operator and an amateur astronomer.
