He earned his M.D. at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. His residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Allergy & Immunology were completed at the UT Southwestern University Hospitals & Clinics, Children’s Medical Center of Dallas and Parkland Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Chen has published and lectured at state and national conferences on drug allergies, chronic urticaria and food allergies. He was honored by American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology for his research on penicillin allergy testing. He is a board-certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the Texas Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society and the American College of Physicians.
He is on staff at Longview Regional and Christus Good Shepherd Medical Centers and serves as an Assistant Professor of Medicine on the teaching faculty of the UT Tyler / Good Shepherd GME program.
