- I am accepting new patients at my new faith-based practice. I am licensed and certified as a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry (NPP) with the State of New York. I hold an Internationally Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (ICADC) certification as well. My educational degree background consists of Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP); Master of Science in Mental Health Psychiatric Nursing and a Master of Arts in Addiction Counseling. I have worked in nursing for 23 years. I have worked in civilian and military nursing positions and was stationed at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. I am a Gulf War Era veteran.
I promote a holistic approach to treating individuals, groups, and families struggling with a variety of problems, mental illness and addiction. I provide psychotherapy (individual, family, and marital), psychiatric evaluations, medication management (integrated with psychotherapy or without), and substance use disorders assessments and treatments.
I am trained and experienced in helping families and individuals cope. I promise to be compassionate, caring, understanding and non-judgmental in helping patients to find healthy ways to cope with problems, mental illness, and substance use disorders. I treat all patients with respect, love, and dignity. You are not alone; I can help.
