Summary

  • I moved from Orlando to Miami in July 2021 and am excited to be the founding Division Director of Pediatric Adolescent Gynecologist at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine OBGYN department. My practices are at the downtown campus as well as the Kendall office. Clinical care includes:
    Management of the pubertal and menstrual cycle exacerbations of complex medical and psychological conditions.
    Management of adolescents with premature ovarian insufficiency (e.g. idiopathic, cancer survivors, Turner syndrome) requiring induction of puberty, including hormone replacement.
    Management of heavy menses, especially common in girls with bleeding disorders.
    Treatment of girls with menstrual disorders (e.g. PCOS/ anovulation) and chronic pelvic pain, including surgical management of endometriosis.
    Surgical management of girls with Mullerian anomalies and benign adnexal masses (e.g. ovarian teratomas, adnexal torsion) with attention to fertility- sparing techniques, usually through minimally invasive/laparoscopic techniques.
    Evaluation and treatment of pediatric patients with vulvovaginal disorders
        Care of transgender adolescents.
    Provision of highly effective contraception, individualized for each patient, especially in adolescents with complex medical conditions.
    Trauma informed care for survivors of childhood sexual abuse, trafficking, and other adverse childhood experiences
I am Vice President of the North American Society of Pediatric Adolescent Gynecology, and on the Executive Board of the International Federation of Pediatric Adolescent Gynecology.
