  • Dr. Juan Febres was born and raised in Venezuela where he attended medical school at La Universidad del Zulia. After completing his Doctor of Medicine degree, he moved to San Antonio, Texas where he completed his General Surgery residency at UT Health San Antonio. After residency, he continued his surgical education at Lincoln Medical Center in Bronx, New York where he obtained his Surgical Critical Care fellowship while training at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. After completing his fellowship, Dr. Febres relocated to Maine and has built a robust general surgery practice for the past 3 years. Currently, Dr. Febres is double board certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. Dr. Febres was afforded the opportunity to return to his training roots in San Antonio to open his general surgery practice where he is eager to provide surgical services to San Antonio and South Texas. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
