- Dr. Cardenas is a Board Certified Internal Medicine doctor, who graduated from the Universidad Anahuac Escuela de Medicina, Mexico in 2008. He completed his residency training at Texas Tech University Health Services Center at the Permian Basin Campus in 2015. Before getting to his residency, he performed clinical research in Houston, TX at St. Luke's Hospital for almost 2 years and has been published in JACC, Catherterization and Cardiovascular Interventions Journal and Journal of Endovascular Therapy. Dr. Cardenas has successfully given oral presentations at CCC 2009 in Houston and at the TCT 2014 in Washington D.C.
Dr. Cardenas was elected as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians in 2019.
He was an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Long School of Medicine, UT Health San Antonio.
