Dr. Joy Bunt - a pediatrician and research physician in Scottsdale, AZ - is retired after practicing pediatrics and then serving as medical director of an in-patient metabolic research unit for the National Institutes of Health at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center. She received her PhD in exercise physiology and endocrinology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and her medical degree from University of Arizona College of Medicine-Tucson. Her clinical and research expertise were in type 2 diabetes, obesity, metabolism, exercise, bariatric surgery.
