Summary
- Dr. Groetsch has been a lifelong resident of the Greater New Orleans area. He attended Loyola University in New Orleans graduating Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Psychology in 1996. He subsequently received his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans in 2001. Following an internal medicine internship with the Alton Ochsner Foundation, he completed his residency training in ophthalmology with the LSU / Ochsner program in 2006, where he served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Groetsch entered private practice in 2006 and remains dedicated to providing the highest quality eye care to the community. Additionally, he continues to provide training to future ophthalmologists with the LSU ophthalmology residency training program, where he has served as an associate clinical and surgical professor for the past 13 years. His areas of focus include anterior segment, cataract, glaucoma, and refractive surgery.
Dr. Groetsch continues to reside in the area with his wife and four children. His outside interests include spending time with family and friends, running, hiking, and photography.
