Summary
- I am a medical student specializing in Pediatrics. I am interested in pursuing a fellowship, most likely either in Adolescent Medicine, Infectious Disease, or Cardiology.
My research interests include pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV and its use in adolescents, health disparities in LGBTQ+ youth, health surveillance for LGBTQ+ youth, and others.
I am heavily involved in advocacy efforts and organized medicine, chiefly through the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics. My work has included advocating for PrEP access and uptake among minority communities to address HIV disparities, opposition to efforts to criminalize evidence-based gender-affirming care, and starting a monthly journal club to facilitate peer education on LGBTQ+ health.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy staying active, primarily by trying to get at least 12 splat points during every Orange Theory workout, but also occasionally through facilitating osteoarthritis in my knees though hip hop fitness.
