  • Dr. Joseph Khoury is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and a Neonatologist at the Children's Hospital of Richmond (CHoR) at VCU. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The American University of Beirut, Beirut Lebanon, and obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from the same university. He completed his first Pediatric Residency at the American University of Beirut Medical Center before moving to Buffalo NY, where he completed his Pediatric Residency and then his Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship. He is the Medical Director for Neonatal Transport and Associate Medical Director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at CHoR . He is a member of the Easter Society of Pediatric Research (ESPR). Dr. Khoury is one of the founders of the Virginia Neonatal Perinatal Collaborative (VNPC). The VNPC is a state-wide quality collaborative, whose aim and mission focus on improving the care provided to pregnant women and newborns in Virginia. He served as the co-chair and Neonatal lead of the executive steering committee from 2017 until 2023, and is now an ex-officio member of the board of directors.
