Joseph Hanono, MD, is a radiologist based in Lawrence, NY, with subspecialties in abdominal imaging, bone imaging/musculoskeletal, and thoracic imaging. He completed his medical education at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine in 2009, followed by an internship in internal medicine at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell at Lenox Hill Hospital. He pursued his residency in diagnostic radiology at Maimonides Medical Center, finishing in 2014, and further specialized in musculoskeletal MRI at Radnet. Dr. Hanono has been a visiting professor at Pace University since 2015 and served as an adjunct professor at Hofstra University prior to that. His areas of expertise include sports medicine, arthritis, rheumatology, orthopedic trauma, and orthopedic injuries. He has several publications, notably on musculoskeletal imaging, and received the Shining Star Award for Compassionate Patient Care from Lenox Hill Hospital in 2010.
