    I am the Inaugural Vice Chief of the Integrated Hospital Care Institute at the Cleveland Clinic Health System. And he serves in that capacity at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. The Integrated Hospital Care Institute encompasses the Divisions of Anesthesiology, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Infectious Disease, and Pulmonary Medicine.

    Dr. Díaz-Gómez is a board-certified physician who possesses extensive experience spanning over two decades, specializing in critical care medicine and cardiac anesthesiology. Following the completion of his critical care fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, he assumed leadership roles at The Cleveland Clinic and Mayo Clinic. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, he served as the Chief of Cardiothoracic, Mechanical Circulatory Support, and Transplant Critical Care at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM)-Texas Heart Institute.

    Board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and the National Board of Echocardiography, Dr. Díaz-Gómez possesses six national board certifications including anesthesiology, critical care medicine, cardiothoracic anesthesiology, neurocritical care, advanced perioperative TEE, and critical care echocardiography. Having completed a master’s degree in applied science from the Bloomberg School of Public Health at John Hopkins University, he is now actively pursuing an MBA at Case Western Reserve University.

    Dr, Diaz-Gomez had authored or co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed articles, invited book chapters, and abstracts.
