Summary

• I’m board certified in General Pediatrics with 23 years of experience in private practice. Received my M.D. degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in 1993. My residency was completed in 1996 at Schneider Children’s Hospital (now known as Cohen Children’s Medical Health Center, part of the Northwell Health System) in New York. I was the first mainland Puerto Rican from my medical school who was accepted in this program. Fluent in English and Spanish, currently working in my portuguese and italian. Active member of the Nassau Pediatric Society. I’m the Senior physician in my practice and served as Medical Director from March 2017 until August 2019. My inspiration when practicing medicine is to provide the best medical care possible with respect and kindness and allowing the parents and patients to be active members of the decision making process. Received “The San Juan Bautista Award” in 1982 from the Mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico for community service. In the same year the San Juan Chapter of the Lions Club conferred me with an award for community service as well. My interests are in literature (especially poetry), world percussion, physics, movies and world cinema and the study of Stoicism.
