Summary

  • Jordana Latozas graduated from Wayne State University in 2010. She spent the beginning of her ACNP Career in Interventional pain management. Her career trajectory saw the transition from the promotion of noncancer pain control, treating chronic pain as the crisis of the working American; to the increase of addiction, the opiate crisis peaking in 2017. Her work in Addiction medicine began in 2016, and she quickly began noting the breakdown in Medication Addicted Treatment (MAT) delivery. She began the Recovery Mobile Clinic in Feb 2020 to address the holes in MAT accessibility. Then the Pandemic Hit. Instead of closing her doors, she ramped up availability, staffing, locations and services. She provided addiction treatment, but also Covid tests, covid vaccines, and basic medical care. Where other offices, limited patients, she expanded. Where other services where only remote, she increased staffing an grew services. She Reached out to those who were suffering the most, to provide hope and healthcare access to those hit the hardest by the pandemic. She traveled to homeless shelters, Recovery houses, Transitional housing, parole offices and community centers. The Recovery Mobile Clinic, with Jordana at the helm, has made its mark in community health by demonstrating program flexibility and creativity in Medicated assisted treatment. However, her dream does not end here. Her long-term goal, is not only to expand the Recovery Mobile Clinic across the lower 48 states, but to empower Nurse Practitioners. To engage NPs in the entrepreneurial dream.
