Overview of Dr. Zager

Dr. Jonathan Zager is a surgical oncologist, Director of Regional Therapies and Senior Member in the Cutaneous Oncology Department at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in Tampa FL. He is the Chief Academic Officer at Moffitt Cancer Center as well as the Designated Institutional Official (ACGME). He is a professor of surgery and Chair of the Department of Oncologic Sciences at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Tel Aviv University Sackler and has been in practice 20 years. He specializes in melanoma and surgical oncology (other than breast) and is experienced in the multidisciplinary management of melanoma, Merkel cell carcinoma and other complicated soft tissue and cutaneous malignancies. Dr. Zager has published nearly 300 peer reviewed articles edited textbooks and textbook chapters. He has given over 350 talks national and internationally on melanoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, basal and squamous cell carcinomas including topics such as regional therapies and the management of complex advanced and recurrent disease.
