- Dr. Jonathan Trobe is a neuro-ophthalmologist who sees patients at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center and at the Inpatient Consult office at U-M Hospital. His clinical specialties include the evaluation of patients with visual, eye movement, eyelid, and pupillary disturbances arising from optic neuritis, ischemic optic neuropathy, central nervous system tumors and strokes, and cranial nerve palsies; myasthenia gravis; and psychogenic visual loss.
Dr. Trobe serves as the Section Chief of the Neuro-Ophthalmology Service and, in addition to his appointment as Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, he is a Professor of Neurology at the U-M Medical School. His research focuses on visual fields, optic nerve diseases, and visuospatial manifestations of neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease.
