Summary
- Throughout the first two decades of his life, Dr. Grossman was no stranger to the role of patient. His personal experiences with such adversity are what motivated him to pursue a career in medicine; he yearned to give back the quality care that he was so graciously afforded during his time of need. Born and raised in Fort Myers, Florida, Dr. Grossman attended the Honors College at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. While at FSU, he earned two bachelors’ degrees: one in the discipline of Environmental Studies and the other in Exercise Science. His background in Exercise Science afforded him a thorough knowledge of physiology, nutrition, and metabolism. He was raised with an appreciation for spiritual and emotional intelligence as well as physical fitness. This appreciation for health & fitness prompted him to become a Certified Personal Trainer. Shortly thereafter, he secured the position of Certified Fitness Consultant and Personal Trainer at Florida State’s Fitness & Movement Clinic. While balancing training with attending courses, he also spent significant time volunteering for the local chapter of the American Cancer Society as well as Big Bend Hospice. Following graduation, Dr. Grossman was offered admission to the Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. During medical school, he excelled in didactics. Notably, he demonstrated particular proficiency in Anatomy and Physiology. As a result, he was invited to be a Fellow in the Anatomy Fellowship Honors Course. In turn, he assumed responsibility for teaching and tutoring laboratory Gross Anatomy to 1st semester students from various interdisciplinary health professions. In July 2019, Dr. Grossman will begin his formal neurology training with the FAU Neurology Residency Program at Boca Raton Regional Hospital in Boca Raton, Florida. His personal interests include wandering with his dogs, the great outdoors, and horticulture.
