Summary
- After graduating from Brandeis University in Waltham, MA with my Bachelor of Science degrees, I worked as a data manager and clinical research assistant on NIH grant-funded clinical research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center's Transplant Center in Boston, MA. I subsequently received my medical degree from The Commonwealth Medical Center (now Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine) in Scranton, PA and then completed my Internal Medicine internship and residency at VCU.
I was then hired by VCU Medical Center as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine and Academic Hospitalist on the high-acuity and very busy Inpatient Hematology Wards Team. Along with the assigned housestaff on the team, we cared for up to 20 patients per day who generally had acute leukemias ar aggressive lymphomas.
From 2020-2023, I then completed my Hematology-Oncology fellowship training at VCU through the Clinical/Educational Track, which had a heavy focus on hands-on clinical experience that included my own two half-day continuity clinics at both VCU Medical Center and the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center throughout training as well as around 58 weeks of inpatient and 72 weeks of outpatient rotations.
I was hired by VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center as a hematologist-oncologist with a focus on thoracic malignancies and significant responsibilities with our lung cancer clinical trial portfolio.
