She is a graduate of the University of Arizona with degrees in Mexican-American Studies and Molecular & Cellular Biology. She earned her medical degree and completed residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. She finished her training with a fellowship in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at the University of Utah.
Dr. Hardy’s clinical interests include the care of athletes of all ages. She manages shoulder, knee and ankle injuries in pediatric, collegiate, adult and senior athletes, and enjoys taking care of “Weekend Warriors” as much as she enjoys helping high-level athletes. She is one of the Orthopaedic Surgeons for the University of Arizona Intercollegiate Athletic teams as well as the Head Team Physician for the Pima Community College Intercollegiate Athletic department.
Her other clinical interests include treating degenerative orthopaedic conditions such as knee arthritis, rotator cuff disease, etc. and common orthopaedic fractures.
Dr. Hardy started practice in 2011 with the University of Arizona College of Medicine. During her time with the University, she obtained the rank of Associate Professor, and she was appointed as the Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at BUMC-South. She joined University Orthopedic Specialists, a division of Arizona Community Surgeons-Tucson's Premier Surgeon group in 2019.
She is the daughter of a nurse and a carpenter and decided that to fill her parents' shoes she’d blend the two and became a orthopaedic surgeon. She and her husband, Tracy, are both native Tucsonans and enjoy hiking, fishing, camping, archery and anything else in the great outdoors. She also enjoys riding her horse, baking pies, building stuff and taking care of her bees.
