Summary

  • Before moving to Southern California to start his private practice, Dr. Saito was an assistant professor at Texas A&M School of Medicine and the director of Pediatric Pulmonary and Allergy at Scott & White Hospital in Texas.

As a stakeholder in the Texas Newborn Screening Performance Measures Project, he worked to develop evidence-based performance measures in the pre- and post-analytical stages of the newborn screening process in Texas.

Dr. Saito was awarded the March of Dimes Outstanding Public Affairs Volunteer Award, Texas Chapter, in 2008 for his advocacy work in the area of cystic fibrosis newborn screening.

In his Pulmonary and Sleep specialty practice in Southern California, Dr. Saito specializes in the care of children with respiratory disorders such as asthma, chronic lung disease of prematurity, and obstructive sleep apnea along with all disorders of sleep in both children and adults who struggle with restless leg syndrome and insomnia.

Dr. Saito feels that living well comes from breathing well and sleeping well. Breathing problems and illnesses rarely go to sleep when you or your child does. Disruptions of restorative sleep often results in impairment in daytime functioning of both children and adults.

Dr. Saito looks forward to providing personalized specialty care to children and adults from all walks of life.
