Summary
- I have graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki School of Medicine, Greece in 1983 and passed the FGMEMS examinations in 1984.
I received all my postgraduate training in the US, including Pediatrics, Pediatric Cardiology, Cardiac Pathology and Pediatric and Congenital Electrophysiology. Although I continued working as a Pediatric Cardiologist in Greece, over the years I have focused more on Pediatric Electrophysiology. Last year I have accepted the position of Director of Electrophysiology in the Ward Family Heart Center at Children's Mercy Hospital, Kansas City Missouri and faculty appointment as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at UMKC School of Medicine.
My interests are catheter ablation of arrhythmias in children and adults with congenital heart disease, use of non-fluoroscopic mapping systems, cryoablation, management of genetic arrhythmias in children and implantation and follow-up of cardiac rhythm managment devices in children.
