Dr. O’Reilly was introduced to the medical field when he served as a combat medic for the US Army Reserve. He received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University, where he majored in microbiology. He then received a master’s degree in medical science from Yale University. While there, Dr. O’Reilly was awarded the prestigious Wilbur G. Downs Fellowship and conducted research on HIV and hepatitis C co-infection in Uganda. He received his MD and MPH from Tulane University. Dr. O’Reilly then completed his residency at Columbia University, and his Infectious Diseases fellowship at UCLA.
He has practiced in Las Vegas since 2021, where he serves on the board of the Southern Nevada
Infectious Disease Society. Dr. O’Reilly has a special interest in HIV care, NTM infections, transplant ID, and tropical medicine. Dr. O’Reilly is also passionate about medical education. He teaches medical residents, lectures at a nursing college, and hosts an infectious disease journal club.
