Summary
- My name is John-Michael Benson, and I am a resident physician in internal medicine at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC. I graduated from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 2022 and graduated from Colorado State University in May of 2015 with a degree in Biomedical Sciences (Cum Laude).
I have significant research experience in the field of neuromuscular physiology, and I worked in the Integrative Neurophysiology Laboratory at CSU for three years studying Multiple Sclerosis. I then worked as a clinical research assistant at Anderson Podiatry Center (APC) in Fort Collins, Colorado. The research we completed at APC focused on investigating the benefits of peripheral nerve decompression surgery to treat neuropathy and restless leg syndrome. Currently I am the principal investigator on a study investigating convalescent plasma as a treatment against COVID-19.
