    Dr. Mercuri earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in New York City. He also earned a Master of Arts in Bioethics from New York University. He completed his residency at NYU Langone Health's Hospital for Joint Diseases and his fellowship in adult reconstructive surgery with the Insall Scott Kelly Institute for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. Dr. Mercuri is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.

    This native of northeastern Pennsylvania attended Scranton Preparatory School and The University of Scranton, where he excelled as student and a long distance runner. He still enjoys running when he's not at work, as well as doing yard work with his antique John Deere farm tractor and spending time with his wife and two sons.
