Dr. John Gross is an ophthalmologist based in Mount Pleasant, SC, with a subspecialty in retinal diseases. He completed his medical education at East Tennessee State University and pursued further training through a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Florida, as well as fellowships at Duke University Hospital and Mayo Clinic Jacksonville. Dr. Gross has clinical expertise in diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and central retinal vein occlusion, and is also involved in telemedicine. He has contributed to several peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals and currently participates in clinical research on age-related macular degeneration. Dr. Gross has been recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
