- I am Board-certified in Anesthesiology and Internal Medicine and had the privilege to found and serve as Chief of the Department of Anesthesiology at Kaiser-Permanente's Santa Rosa medical center from 1989 until my retirement from clinical anesthesia practice in 2014. I served on the Clinical Faculty of the University of California at San Francisco from 1986-2011. I have extensive experience in both anesthesia care and medicine in resource-constrained environments and have worked in Zambia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Cuba and Haiti, in addition to spearheading medical charity projects in over 25 developing nations through my non-profit, Medical Exchange International.
