- Dr. John Engstrom is the Betty Anker Fife Distinguished Professor of Neurology at UCSF based in UCSF Health at the Parnassus Avenue and Mission Bay campuses. He is affiliated also with the San Francisco VA Medical Center and Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. He received his medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine, completed internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and adult neurology residency and clinical neurophysiology fellowship at UCSF. He specializes in spine neurology, general neurology, and graduate medical education. He has more than 40 publications.
