- Dr. Chardavoyne was Director of Medical Services of the Recovery PHP/IOP Program and Medical Director of Outpatient Medical Services at Stonington Institute. He formerly was a Clinical Instructor in Psychiatry at the University of Colorado Denver and Director of Outpatient Services and a Psychiatrist at EDCare (formerly Eating Disorder Center of Denver). He previously had a private practice of Psychiatry. Additionally, he formerly was the Medical Director of the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic at the Denver Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was also a Clinical Instructor in Psychiatry at the Yale University School of Medicine and a Clinical Instructor at the Yale School of Nursing. Additionally, he was a Medical Director for The Yale-New Haven Hospital Partial Hospital and Intensive Outpatient Programs Clinic in Hamden, CT. He graduated from the University of Rochester and then earned his M.D. from Upstate Medical University. He completed his training in psychiatry at the University of Colorado Denver, where he also served as Chief Resident of Outpatient Psychiatry at the Denver Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He then finished a fellowship in Dialectical Behavior Therapy at the Yale University Department of Psychiatry. From 2012-2017 he underwent supervision by Dr. Frank Yeomans in Transference-Focused Psychotherapy. From 2016-2018 he received Educational Consultation for Dissociative Identity Disorder by Richard Chefetz, MD. While affiliated with Yale University, he co-founded the Yale Philosophy and Psychiatry Group. In 2013 the Connecticut Psychiatric Society awarded him the Roger Coleman Memorial Award Service to Patients for responding after the Sandy Hook tragedy.
