Summary
- John Andrilli, MD, Associate Professor of Medicine (General Internal Medicine) became the new Internal Medicine Residency Program Director at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai West effective July 5th.
Anyone who knows John is well aware of his passion for teaching. As the Chief of the Division of General Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, as an outpatient preceptor, inpatient attending, and mentor, John has worked with hundreds of trainees to instill in them a love of medicine and particularly primary care medicine. At Mount Sinai Beth Israel, where he previously worked as Chief of the Division of General Internal Medicine and as an Associate Program Director, John was active in developing the ambulatory curriculum for residents. His list of mentees reads like a who’s-who of the faculty at Mount Sinai Beth Israel and other top-ranked academic medical facilities around the country. And the long list of his teaching activities, starting back in 1998, are a testament to his commitment to both undergraduate and graduate medical education.
Dr. Andrilli cultivated a large and devoted primary care practice that followed him to each new office during several hospital transitions. He has a particular interest in LGBT health and has been serving that community for more than two decades.
