Summary
- I am a board certified general surgeon in Austin, Texas. I care for patients with conditions across spectrum of general surgery.
I have extensive experience in thyroid and parathyroid surgery and treat conditions such as thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, and hyperparathyroidism. I use advanced and minimally invasive techniques such as MIRP (radio-guided parathyroidectomy) and IOPTH (intra-operative parathyroid hormone testing) to facilitate surgery and recovery.
I have special interest in abdominal hernia repair, including the repair of complex hernias. I perform laparoscopic and open hernia repairs. Typical hernias that I repair include inguinal, umbilical, incisional, ventral, epigastric, and hiatal hernias.
I have helped pioneer the application of Robotic Surgery using the daVinci robotic surgery platform for general surgery in Austin. This advanced new technology allows for more complex operations to be performed with minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques.
In addition, I perform laparoscopic surgery for gallbladder disease, colon disease including cancer and diverticulitis, hernias, and GERD.
I also treat a variety of cancer conditions, including breast cancer, melanoma, other skin cancers, thyroid cancer, and colon cancer.
