Summary
- Dr. Johanna Sampson is a Family Medicine specialist based in Indianapolis, IN. She completed her medical education at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, graduating in 2006. Following this, she pursued her residency in Family Medicine from 2006-2009 at the University of North Carolina Hospitals.
I am a dedicated primary care provider, board-certified in family medicine, with 15 years of experience. I have worked in various medical settings, where I provided direct patient care and held administrative and leadership roles.
Recently, I moved to Raleigh, NC, to be closer to family and friends. After 15 years of practicing in diverse environments that catered to my varied interests and family needs, I look forward to continuing my career in a meaningful and fulfilling position.
In the earlier part of my career, I enjoyed the fast-paced work of busy urgent care clinics, performing procedures, and expanding my knowledge in occupational health and administration. However, as my family grew, I needed a slightly slower pace and discovered the joys and benefits of working in medical on-site clinics. This model allowed me to provide traditional primary care to my patient population without the usual obstacles of high costs, lack of continuity, and insurance limitations.
As I embark on this next phase of my career, I hope to find a practice where I can build strong relationships with my patients, colleagues, and staff. I want the opportunity to spend adequate time listening to my patients and treating them as whole individuals. My goal is to continue my growth as a provider, learner, and person.
I am currently seeking a part-time position that may expand to more hours as my responsibilities at home diminish (one can dream!). I am open to innovative practice models and settings, contract work, PRN positions, and telehealth opportunities. However, I am not interested in relocating or accepting locum tenens positions.
