- Dr. Joan Faro is an internal medicine specialist based in Port Jefferson, NY. She completed her medical education and residency at Stony Brook University, finishing in 1985, and later pursued an MBA at New York University Stern School of Business. She worked at Stony Brook University Hospital and School of Medicine until 1994 and was a Medical Management Consultant for APM Consulting/CSC Healthcare from 1994 until 2001. Dr. Faro joined John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in 2001 and served in a variety of senior level positions until 2018, including Chief Medical Officer, President of the Medical Group and Senior Vice President.
