She earned her medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in 2007, followed by residency training in Emergency Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital through Harvard Medical School from 2007 to 2011.
Dr. Monas began her clinical career in Phoenix, Arizona, serving as an Emergency Medicine Physician at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix and Banner Estrella Medical Center from 2011 to 2018. In 2018, she joined the Mayo Clinic Arizona Emergency Department, where she currently practices and serves as the Associate Chair of Operations.
In addition to her primary specialty, Dr. Monas is board-certified in Addiction Medicine through the American Board of Preventive Medicine. She is co-host of the monthly Emergency Medicine Abstracts Ultra Summary with EM:RAP, where she reviews and discusses current research from the emergency medicine literature.
