Summary

  • I am a physician wellness and leadership consultant, keynote speaker, and retreat facilitator dedicated to transforming how physicians and healthcare leaders approach well-being, leadership, and communication. As the founder of Pause & Presence, I specialize in mindfulness-based coaching, strategic leadership development, and wellness programs that create sustainable change for individuals and institutions.

As a physician leader at The Permanente Medical Group for nearly two decades, I saw firsthand the toll of burnout and the urgent need for a culture shift in medicine. I now partner with healthcare institutions, leadership teams, and physicians to implement evidence-based wellness solutions, including CME-accredited retreats, mindful leadership coaching, and interactive workshops on communication, resilience, and well-being. Physician well-being is not a luxury—it’s a necessity. By prioritizing sustainability and presence, we improve outcomes for both physicians and patients.

I’ve worked with leading organizations, including Stanford, UCSF, Providence Health, Jefferson Healthcare, ACOG, Sutter Health, and Women of Dartmouth, fostering resilient teams, engaged leadership, and impactful wellness initiatives. My work helps physicians reconnect with purpose, prevent burnout, and develop leadership skills that enhance both personal and professional fulfillment.

I offer CME-accredited wellness retreats and workshops on burnout prevention and sustainable well-being, executive and physician coaching to enhance clarity and career sustainability, keynote talks on well-being, communication, and leadership, and strategic consulting to design impactful wellness programs and leadership initiatives.

Physicians don’t need to leave medicine—they need to change how they practice it and how medicine is practiced. By integrating mindfulness, intention, and strategic leadership, we can shift the culture of medicine to be more sustainable and fulfilling.
