- Dr. Lee is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, fellowship trained in pediatric cleft and craniofacial surgery, practicing the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery for children and adults, including orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery, complex craniomaxillofacial trauma and reconstruction, distraction osteogenesis, dentoalveolar surgery (wisdom tooth removal, bone grafting, dental implants), outpatient sedation/anesthesia and the management of benign craniofacial pathology and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. Her clinical area of expertise lies in the evaluation and management of congenital and acquired facial differences from infancy to adulthood, including cleft lip and palate, Pierre Robin sequence, craniomaxillary trauma, craniofacial anomalies including craniosynostosis, plagiocephaly, craniofacial microsomia and dentofacial anomalies requiring orthognathic surgery.
Dr. Lee has a special interest in the area of global oral and maxillofacial surgery and providing surgical care for children and adults in underserved communities around the world. Currently, she is a volunteer surgeon for Smile Bangladesh, a New Jersey based non-profit organization dedicated to caring for children and adults born with facial and cleft anomalies in Bangladesh. Most recently, she was a part of the team which performed the very first virtually planned orthognathic surgery in Bangladesh with a live patient demonstration in Dhaka.
