- Dr. Fleischer-Black holds faculty appointments in both the Department of Emergency Medicine and the Brookdale Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine. She is the Medical Director of Geriatric and Palliative Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, where she has been an Attending Physician since 2012. She was the first mid-career, part-time, competency-based Fellow in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Mount Sinai, completing her fellowship in June 2022. Her academic focus is on care integration, early integration of palliative interdisciplinary team care and end-of-life planning and treatment.
