  • Dr. DeBord is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at Tulane University School of Medicine. She completed a combined MD/MPH degree at Tulane, followed by a residency in combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics and a Pediatric chief residency at Tulane. She serves as a pediatric hospitalist at Manning Family Children’s Hospital and as the director of the Tulane Combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency program. Dr. DeBord has developed curricula in mental and behavioral health for the residency program, high value care for the medical school and pediatrics residency program, and curricula addressing medical decision making, health systems science, and evidence-based medicine for the School of Medicine. Dr. DeBord’s research has addressed methods of delivery of residency didactics, alternatives to the USMLE in predicting success in pediatric residency, and quality improvement in the care of patients hospitalized with sickle cell vaso-occlusive pain.
