Summary

  • I am a retired emergency physician and held former roles as Department Chair (OHSU), Vice Dean (OHSU), Professor (OHSU & University of Hawaii), and Dean (University of Hawaii). In addition to prior resuscitation research (OHSU) and participation in the National Academy of Medicine, I have been active in addressing Health Disparities and Medical Education Administration (University of Hawaii). Currently, I am a Professor of Surgery (University of Hawaii) and MPI for the NIMHD sponsored Ola HAWAII - RCMI Research Center at the University of Hawaii.
