- Dr. Plaxco became board certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology in June 2009. After five fulfilling years in private practice as a general diagnostic radiologist, Dr. Plaxco completed a Breast Imaging Fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in June 2015 gaining subspecialty training in all modalities of Breast Imaging including mammography, tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and breast interventional procedures. Since July 2015, she has worked in private practice focusing primarily on Breast Imaging. Serving patients in the early detection, diagnosis, and staging of breast cancer, as well as the diagnosis of benign breast conditions, is her greatest professional privilege.
