Since 2010, I have engaged with local partners in multiple African countries including Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia. Botswana was my focus for nine years, living there for seven years. I served as the Medical Director of the Texas Children's Hospital's Global Hematology-Oncology Pediatric Excellence (HOPE) program to develop a comprehensive national program for children with cancer and blood disorders through collaboration with the Botswana government and other stakeholders.
