Dr. Stewart received her degree from the School of Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in 2004. She spent time in Colorado for her residency in Family Medicine at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and spent 3 years practicing Emergency Medicine in rural Colorado and California, where she became certified in Advanced Wilderness Life Support. Dr. Stewart is board certified in Family Medicine and is studying Integrative Medicine in her spare time.
Dr. Stewart spent time traveling with Heart to Heart International a relief and development organization and worked in Haiti aiding in disaster relief for the earthquakes in 2010 and traveled to China to teach EMS students in 2009. She strives to be part of something bigger than her and to care for those with adversity and lack of resources.
Her passion is to guide patients and the community toward optimal health and well-being while serving as a role model, caregiver and consultant. Dr. Stewart enjoys being there for patients in a time of crisis or unexpected illness.
