  • Dr. Satinover is board-certified in adult and geriatric psychiatry, with a year of child psychiatry fellowship, all at Yale University. He has been in psychiatric practice since 1986 and is a diplomate Jungian psychoanalyst (Zurich).

    Dr. Satinover holds degrees from MIT, Harvard, Yale, the University of Texas and the University of Nice where he earned a PhD in physics (complex systems theory) in 2009 with highest honors. He is the author of 50 articles, chapters and books including the best-selling "The Quantum Brain" (Wiley). He has been a Burroughs-Welcome Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a Lustman Research Prize winner at Yale. He has taught psychiatry, psychopharmacology and team-based treatment to non-MD therapists at the Jung Institute in Zurich and Behavioral Finance at the Lorange Business School also in Switzerland and led a one-week seminar per year. He has been a visiting faculty member at Princeton University, and at the Swiss Institute of Technology. Dr. Satinover served for three years as Executive Advisor to the CEO and Founder of WorldQuant, the leading international quantitative investment strategy designer. He continues to serve there as a retained consultant. He was Distinguished Visiting Professor at the King's College in New York and is a former William James Lecturer in Psychology and Religion at Harvard. Dr. Satinover served as Connecticut State Flight Surgeon (CTARNG) and as an Army Reserve psychiatrist. He is married and the father of five daughters.
