Summary
- As a Radiation Oncologist and tenured Associate Professor at Penn Medicine and the University of Pennsylvania, I have over 15 years of experience in treating primary and metastatic tumors of the central nervous system, using state-of-the-art techniques such as Proton therapy and Gamma Knife radiosurgery. I am board-certified in Radiation Oncology and have a PhD in Molecular Oncology from Moffitt/USF and residency training in Radiation Oncology at Penn.
I am also a translational researcher and educator in the field of cancer biology, genomics, biomarkers, and cancer nanotechnology. I have been continuously funded by the NIH for the past decade and have published in journals such as Cell and Nature. I lead a translational lab that explores novel strategies to overcome resistance and enhance sensitivity to therapies in brain tumors and other solid cancers. I am Co-Leader of the Radiation Oncology Translational Center of Excellence at Penn, member of the Institution Review Board (IRB) at the Abramson Cancer Center, and the director of the NIH-sponsored SUPERS@PENN program, which aims to foster diversity and inclusion in biomedical sciences. My mission is to advance the understanding and treatment of cancer through innovation, collaboration, and mentorship.
