Dr. Mulawa received both his M.D. and Pharm.D. degrees from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He continued his training with an Internship and Residency in Anesthesiology at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. He then went on to practice as an Anesthesiologist at The Detroit Medical Center. While practicing as an Anesthesiologist, Dr. Mulawa went on to complete a Fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at Wayne State University.
Since completing fellowship, Dr. Mulawa has been providing pain management care to the Metro-Detroit area, specializing in minimally invasive procedures to alleviate and eliminate chronic pain. Dr. Mulawa offers a variety of techniques to treat pain including medication management, x-ray and ultrasound-guided injections/nerve ablations, and spinal cord stimulation for chronic neck, back, joint, and extremity pain. Dr. Mulawa is an active member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the Michigan Society of Anesthesiologists. When not caring for his patients, Dr. Mulawa is an avid cyclist and mountain biker.
