Summary

• JARED R. YOUNGER, MD, MPH, is the chief cornea, cataract and refractive surgeon at Orange Coast Eye Center in Fountain Valley, CA.
  After graduating from the University of Arizona College of Medicine where he was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, Dr. Younger completed Ophthalmology training at UT Southwestern and Parkland Hospital in Dallas. He also has received his Master of Public Health degree and has remained active in research, authoring journal articles and presenting at national Ophthalmology meetings. Having completed a fellowship in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at the prestigious Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA, Dr. Younger brings the latest in surgical technology to his patients.
  Dr. Younger is Board Certified, as a Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has received many high honors such as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Fellowship in neuroscience research, and recognition from the Dallas sheriff department for a public health project regarding eye injuries. He is a board member of the Orange County Ophthalmology Society, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
  Outside of private practice, Dr. Younger enjoys golf, travelling and muscle cars, and also starred in a national car commercial air, about finding his family’s classic car. Also, he is the only eye care professional who travels to Catalina Island to see patients at the rural medical center there.
