- Spine Surgeon, Dr. Jared M. Robichaux grew up in Mandeville. When asked why he decided to go into medicine, he says “There was never another option.” Dr. Robichaux has always held a passion for helping others. He was drawn to neurological surgery for the opportunity to provide great treatment to patients with very complex conditions.
“I chose neurological surgery as a specialty because it is a field where improvements and technological advancements in diagnosis and treatment are being achieved daily. I want to be part of a generation to continue to improve the outcomes of our patients requiring treatment for brain and spinal disorders.”
After medical school at L SU in New Orleans, Dr. Robichaux completed residency with the L SU Health Science Center New Orleans Department of Neurological Surgery and an MBA in Business Administration from L SU Shreveport. Dr. Robichaux is trained in Neurological surgery and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery including neuronavigation and robotic-assisted surgery. He treats brain and spine conditions including treatment of degenerative spinal disease, chronic neck and back pain, peripheral nerve disease like carpal tunnel syndrome and ulnar neuropathy, compression fractures, traumatic injuries of the brain and spine, and tumors of the brain and spine. He has been trained in motion preservation procedures of the spine and licensed in Total Disc Replacements of the cervical spine. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and Louisiana Neurological Society.
