Summary
- Now that I am retired--I want to share a way to help other doctors in Ukraine:
Dr.Aleksandra Shchebet is a Physician in Ukraine who has organized a way to deliver supplies requested from physician colleagues inside Ukraine.
The Non-profit organization Team4Ukraine transports supplies directly to doctors all over Ukraine.
I learned about her through a NPR Podcast with Ari Daniel Shapiro
"The humble bravery of a young neurologist from Kyiv" March 13, 20227:35 AM
Obviously, physicians cannot do their jobs with out their tools & supplies. For example chemotherapy medicines for children & adults are a big need. They are continuing to treat everything we do here in the U.S. but their supplies of specialized medicines have dried up. It seemed folly to try to send supplies when they can be purchased there with less transport cost. Donations seemed the most effective. Even small donations can be applied to specific needs as they arise.
This is how I made a donation:
GO TO:
www.team4ukraine.eu
This site is very European,( Chech,) i.e. a lot of foreign languages BUT
You can scroll down the first page to a large yellow box of information and at the very bottom it says:
V jiných měnách přes PayPal
(Press (pres) PayPal)
This opens up the usual avenue to make a payment via PayPal
AFTER you have committed to the selected donation, there is a QUESTION: “What is this for?”
CLICK “What is this for?" TO OPEN A BOX TO SPECIFY:
"DR.SHCHEBET -MEDICAL SUPPLIES FOR UKRAINE"
(There are other avenues for donation other than PayPal on the site)
You can also message directly to Tatiana Masilkova: tatiana.masilkova@gmail.com
She is the Coordinator for Dr. Shchebet. You can e-mail her directly (to specify Medical Supplies for Ukraine )
or offer other other help with medicines, supplies & tools.
You can message Dr.Shchebet through Tatiana Masilkova's email
You will receive a grateful message from Tatiana(& Dr. Shchebet) for your efforts!
