Summary
- I am a board certified dermatologist specializing in detailed skin cancer screening exams, treatment of skin cancer and pre-cancerous skin regions including Mohs surgery and reconstruction, excisions, destructions, photodynamic therapy (PDT), Fraxel 1927, and chemotherapeutic interventions. I also specialize in cosmetic dermatology including filler injections, neurotoxins (e.g. Botox), and numerous laser treatments for skin resurfacing, toning, removal of "age related brown spots", cherry angiomas, telangiectasias, spider veins, scar treatments, and hair removal. I have been practicing dermatology in mid-town Manhattan for 30+ years. My training includes a PhD from Columbia University with thesis on retinoid biochemistry, MD w/honors from University of Chicago, Internal medicine 1 year University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics, followed by Residency in Dermatology, University of Pennsylvania. I was a full time member of the faculty of the College of Physicians & Surgeons at Columbia University from 1987-2001. In 2002 I established a solo practice in Dermatolgy in Manhattan. One year ago I joined Citywide Dermatology (part of the Schweiger Dermatology Management Group). I remain in my same practice location. Joining this group has allowed me to hand over management of the office overhead such as rent, payroll, benefits, etc. This frees me up to focus more on patient care which is terrific!
One of my pet peeves is the disruption from PBMs (Pharmacy Benefit Managers) that we all face in prescribing medications for our patients. @drjanprystowsky
