Dr. Jan Patterson is professor of medicine/infectious diseases and associate dean for Quality & Lifelong Learning at Long School of Medicine, UT Health San Antonio. She is staff physician and medical director of Integrative Medicine at University Health.
She received her MD from UT McGovern Medical School at Houston, did residency in Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt Medical Center, and Infectious Diseases fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Patterson has a Masters in Health Care Management from Harvard School of Public Health and completed a fellowship in Integrative Medicine at University of Arizona. She is experienced in infection prevention, healthcare epidemiology, healthcare quality, essential oils, and integrative medicine.
She is the co-author of Breath for the Soul, a book describing self-care steps for wellness.
